A tactile cuff-bracelet in copper & yarn - this piece is delicately hand knitted and hand stitched using a mixed media of gunmetal coloured copper wire, luxury hand-dyed yarn and crystal.
The luxury yarn used for this design is 100% merino singles which is silky-soft and non-itchy. It's hand-dyed by indie dyer Uschitita who is based in the Netherlands. Her rich denim colourway, interspersed with flecks of russet, caramel & brown, provide a beautiful palette for the crystal window within the centre of the piece.
The crystals in smoked topaz, vintage-aqua, red-magma, light colorado topaz & light azore, are knitted into gunmetal-enamelled copper wire to resemble a bed of flowers, with blue stems rising up from the brown earth, with burnt orange & caramel petals, that are tinged with the palest bluey-white.
There is a choice of 2 different stitch detail for the back of the cuff:
GARTER BAND - this gives a definite curve as the ribbed edge closes in more, making the cuff appear narrower at the back.
TWISTED RIB - this appears to give a uniform height to the piece all the way round. It adds a decorative touch to the back of the cuff.
The wire colour may vary slightly depending on the reel batch, and how the colours fall within the piece may vary depending on which part of the yarn I start knitting with, but any variation will be very slight. The swarovski crystals will be identical to the sample image.
As there is only a limited amount of luxury yarn in this colourway available, there will only be a select number of these cuffs available to buy.
This cuff is a made to order, and made-to-measure item.
When you add the item to cart and then go to checkout, you will need to specify in the comments box:
1. The design you prefer for the back, i.e., GARTER BAND or TWISTED RIB,
AND
2. Your wrist measurement to the nearest half inch.
Make sure to give an accurate wrist measurement that's comfortable - the yarn will give enough stretch for you to take the cuff on and off easily, so there is no need to add extra inches, unless you want the cuff to sit losely, or prefer to wear it higher up the arm.
As this is a made to order item, please allow at least 3 weeks for delivery for UK & Europe, and 6 weeks for USA & Worldwide.
If ordering for Christmas, I will try my very best to deliver before or as close to the time as is practicable, taking into account the number of orders I have, and the respective post office delivery schedules.
