Textile, Crystal & Glass Earrings - LAL QILA

These peacock earrings are hand crocheted with luxury hand dyed yarn in rich shades of russet, brick, burnt caramel and verdigris green. The colours are reminiscent of the red sandstone and mosaic used in construction of the beautiful Lal Qila (Red Fort), built by Emperor Akbar in 1573.

The 'feathers' are edged with antique bronze glass beads to reflect the ancient historical inspiration and connection.
The centre drop copper crystals sparkle with hints of verdigris, like a jewel in the path to the palace.

How the yarn colours fall within the piece varies depending on which part of the yarn I start crocheting with, so each pair will be unique.

I will always try to mirror the earrings so that the colours are as symmetrical and balanced as possible.

The earrings are then finished with gold-filled (gold over sterling silver) earring hooks.

They measure 2.5cm across it's widest part, and just over 4cm from the top of hook to bottom of earring.

These pieces are made with specialist hand-dyed yarn and limited edition crystals, which may not always be available. They will therefore be made in small quantities and will be limited in number.

There is a drop-down option to order a pair of bespoke peacock earrings using your own yarn.
The earrings will be gold and glass beads antique-bronze as seen, but made with fingering weight yarn that you send to me.
I will match the drop crystals accordingly.
As crystal options are limited, this bespoke option will be in small batches only.
I will contact you with address details once the order has been placed.

The earrings will come packaged in a beautiful customised grey jewellery box, perfect if buying as a gift.

They are a made-to-order item, so please allow at least 3 weeks for delivery for UK & Europe, and 6 weeks for USA & Worldwide.

This item will be shipped by Tracked 24 for the UK
International Orders will be shipped by International Standard
